Mission Statement

We help pit bulls live their best lives in safe, loving, forever homes.

Pit Bulls are flooding our city shelters and fighting a negative stigma that stems from humans, not nature. They are very social dogs, who thrive in relationships with humans and are taken advantage of because of their unassuming and accommodating nature. It’s not fair and it’s time to return the favor.

At Rescue Pit, we help pit bulls live their best lives in safe, loving, forever homes. Through ongoing owner support and general education for the greater Rochester community, our all-volunteer team provides pain- and fear-free services to keep others in their current homes.
